Jerzy Koenig is a brilliant classical guitarist with international recognition, as well as arranger and pedagogue.

He has won prizes in severel international guitar competitions, e.g. in the Radio France „Concours International“ in 1981 in Paris and in the 1984 guitar competition in Belgrade.

Furthermore he has given an impressive number of concerts with different philharmonic orchestras, including the famous „Concerto de Aranjuez“ by Joaquin Rodrigo.

He achieved his international reputation by takig part in numerous international guitar festivals (Esztergom, Gjöngjös,
Tychy, Cracow) as well as in radio, TV and live concert recordings.

He has performed next to the most famous guitarists in the world among others: David Russell, Costas Cotsiolis and Carlo Marchione.

Jerzy is of both Polish and German parentage and been resident in Germany since 1989.

His comprehensive repertoire embraces all eras of music.He has made lots of well playable transcriptions for guitar, especially his Frederic Chopin arrangements for both solo and two guitars gained big popularity and recognition.
